All damage control procedures are handled by OPS. In effect, this means that while damage control protocols are in place, OPS authority supercedes that of any other department in matter of resource and manpower allocation.

All damage control teams must consist of at least 1 OPS officer, 2 security officers and 1 engineer. Also there should be at least one doctor for each 2 damage control parties. While enforcing damage control protocols, all Starfleet officers not on duty are automatically assigned for damage control. Also, all members of yellow shift, unless specified otherwise by their commanding officer, are to integrate damage control parties while engaging in a red alert situation.
