Kyp kept a close eye on the beautiful Q woman. Once again, he had been saved by the Q and now he felt forever in their debt. Across the room in a whispering kind of voice, a security officer told Epic that the captain was dead.

"I’m sorry to hear about the death of your captain." Kyp said.

Epic turned around in surprise. "You heard that?!" He said startled. Q turned to Epic and said, "Oh didn’t I tell you, Alterians have the best hearing in this galaxy. They are also telepathic, but only amongst themselves."

Epic was stunned but the feeling soon dissolved. His father had just died.
