Lt. Logan Castle entered the Sickbay. There was an expected level of activity in the wake of the Battle with the Romulans. But the request on his personal message pad was unexpected.
`Report to Sickbay for blood sampling.'
The request came from Dr. Ramin and not the Chief Medical Officer. He saw the man eyeing an electron microscope.
"Doctor.", Castle called as he approached. "Lt. Logan Castle reporting for blood testing."
<Sick Bay>
Dr. Ramin was there, sitting at his desk inside the BioLab, when he saw
that Lt. Castle walked inside.
"Lieutenant, please come in" Oku replied. Then continued, as he was
taking his hyposyringe from a sterile desk:
"I've called you because the situation is the following: we have a
serious bacterial problem here, and I need some healthy people's
antibodies for testing an antidote. That's why I need you here for blood
testing"
As Lt. Castle took a seat, indicated by Dr. Ramin's gesture, the good
doctor inserted the hyposyringe softly into Castle's right arm, and
waited until he had enough. Then he pressed a button in the syringe to
activate the wound sealer beam. After a second the beam went out, so he
said "OK, Lieutenant, we're done. Thank you for your help."
Lt. Castle was walking out the door. Then Oku said:
"Ah, another thing, Lt. Don't tell about this to anyone that might break
panic on the ship."
Lt. Castle nodded in agreement and left.
<1 hour later>
Oku has had Lt. Cmdr. Hunt's sample also and he was right now testing
both blood samples with the bacterium's isolates. But not the Terran nor
Jupiterean antibodies did any harm to the bloody bacteria. Then Oku
thought something. I can't tell what, but yeah, he had those Thairian
eyes each time he thought... that you can tell for sure.
